We recently had the pleasure of developing the full brand identity, centered around a monogram logo, for Nanda Rias, a professional bridal makeup studio based in Kaliwungu, Kendal, Central Java, Indonesia.
The Concept: Modern Femininity Meets Makeup Artistry
The brief was to create a logo that perfectly blended modern femininity with a clear connection to the art of makeup. The chosen design is a sleek, combined monogram featuring the initials N and R.

Key Design Features:
The Monogram: The chosen monogram is a fluid and elegant script-serif combination. It feels luxurious and timeless, a perfect fit for the bridal industry.
The Letter ‘N’ – The Brow Silhouette: The bold, sweeping curve of the letter ‘N’ is intentionally designed to represent the thick silhouette of a perfectly shaped eyebrow. The eyebrow is a focal point in makeup and a feature that is essential and iconic in a beautiful look.
The Letter ‘R’ – The Eyelash Curler: The distinctive, curved loop and stem of the letter ‘R’ are designed to resemble the shape of an eyelash curler (pelentik bulu mata). This is a subtle yet powerful nod to the essential tools of the trade, representing precision, volume, and beauty.

The overall design is not just an arbitrary combination of letters; it’s a harmonious blend of typography and illustrative symbolism, speaking directly to the studio’s expertise.
Color Palette: Gold and Ivory
The primary color scheme utilizes a rich, warm Mustard Gold/Ochre paired with classic Ivory White. This combination immediately conveys luxury, professionalism, and warmth, making the brand feel premium and trustworthy.

Versatility in Application (Brand Mockups)
A strong logo must be adaptable. We developed several mockups to demonstrate the logo’s versatility across various brand assets:
Business Cards: The monogram is prominently featured on a gold background, with contact details clearly listed and the tagline “Professional Bridal Makeup.”
Stationery & Packaging: The logo scales beautifully onto practical items like a large, white tote bag and sophisticated price list envelopes tied with a ribbon, maintaining its impact at different sizes.
Marketing Materials: The logo is flawlessly integrated into a 2023 desk calendar design, ensuring year-round brand visibility.

Branded Imagery: In a powerful marketing visual, the large, golden monogram is overlaid on a stunning black-and-white image of a bride, with the ‘N’ and ‘R’ framing the bride’s face and eye area—artistically reinforcing the makeup theme.
From Concept to Final Product
The development phase included exploring several monogram options, as seen in the archive sheet. The final choice was the most balanced, legible, and conceptually rich design.
